Parents its time to pack a picnic toss the kids in the car and enjoy an easy day or whole weekend trip to Sherando Lake Recreation Area. What a beautiful area near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bath houses are a little beat up but clean. The campground was very nice with separation between sites. Sites at least in C loop have a picnic table a nice fire pit with adjustable grill and are quite spacious.
